Interboot 2024 set to launch: this year’s major highlights

The wait is nearly over—Interboot 2024 kicks off from September 25 to September 29 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. This highly anticipated event has transformed into a dynamic five-day experience, offering exciting activities, exhibitions, and live demonstrations. With the scenic backdrop of Lake Constance, Interboot promises a full spectrum of water sports experiences for enthusiasts, professionals, and families alike.

A World of Water Sports Awaits

This year, Interboot emphasizes real-time engagement with water sports. If you’re into wakeboarding, kitesurfing, or want to try out the latest electric boats, you can test equipment directly on Lake Constance. The revamped Interboot Marina will serve as the event hub, hosting hands-on workshops and live demonstrations. Here, attendees can experience high-speed watercraft and cutting-edge water sports technology firsthand.

From SUP boards to sailing yachts, the equipment on display is diverse. This year also introduces the “Interboard” section in Hall A5. It features adventurous water sports like pump foiling with demonstrations by professional kitesurfer Ben Beholz.

Ben Beholz is a German professional kitesurfer, vlogger, and content creator known for his adrenaline-fueled water sports adventures. His YouTube channel, Ben Beholz Vlogs, showcases his passion for kitesurfing, where he shares videos of his travels, extreme sports experiences, and lifestyle. Ben’s vlogs often feature stunning locations around the world, where he tests and demonstrates his kitesurfing skills, often pushing the limits of the sport.

    Highlight: International Ocean Film Tour

Another standout attraction this year is the International Ocean Film Tour, celebrating its 10th anniversary. Running over two afternoons and evenings, the tour showcases breathtaking and extreme water sports footage from around the world. From epic surfing to deep-sea adventures, the tour takes attendees on a visual journey through the world of water sports. Tickets to these screenings are included with your Interboot pass.

Interactive Activities for All Skill Levels

One of the biggest draws at Interboot 2024 is its accessibility. For both beginners and experts, there are interactive sessions for every skill level. Newcomers can join free training sessions, like the popular Women’s Motorboat Driving Training on Lake Constance, which requires no previous experience or boating license. This year, more hands-on learning opportunities are available than ever before.

For those wanting to push their limits, head to the wakeboarding and windsurfing zones. Professional coaches offer guidance in a supportive, high-energy environment. Whether it’s wakeboards or jet skis, you can test the latest water sports gear on-site and experience the innovations firsthand.

    New Exhibitions and Product Worlds

Interboot 2024 introduces new sections to enhance the visitor experience. This year’s expanded focus on maritime tourism and the introduction of a fishing range are key highlights. Additionally, the exhibition halls will feature a variety of camping and towing vehicles, integrating water sports with land-based adventures. This makes Interboot a complete outdoor lifestyle event, where land and sea come together.

    Location and Travel Information

Interboot 2024 takes place at Messe Friedrichshafen, easily accessible to both local and international visitors. Located at Neue Messe 1, Friedrichshafen, the exhibition center is right by Lake Constance, providing spectacular views and a perfect setting for water-based activities. There is ample guest parking, and guest berths for boats are also available. Use the map below for easy travel planning:
